Next stop, Lincoln Memorial. What a sight to see! We even had time to take a few 'selfies.' :)
Our first stop of the trip was Mount Vernon, George Washington's home! Bryce pointed out the symmetry that Washington tried to create by adding windows, even though there weren't any rooms on the other side...very neat!
Okay DC Trippers (and parents), the time is near!
Here's a question: What are you most excited to see during our trip?! Let's see what you come up with below...see you soon!! Mrs. P I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm VERY excited for our trip! We leave in about a week, and I know it's going to be a great trip. I've never been there myself, so I'm excited to see all the different aspects D.C. has to offer. I'm a big movie buff, too, and I always like being able to match up monuments and buildings that I've seen in films to where they are in real life.
My goal is to keep this blog going throughout the trip and post at night about what we've discovered and where we've been. We've got a big trip ahead of us! Mrs. Poma |
Mrs. PomaThis is my first time to Washington, D.C. and the same for a lot of the students, so I thought I'd write a blog! ArchivesCategories |
